The leader of Spain’s left-wing political party Podemos, Ione Belarra, has made a strong statement, calling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the “Hitler of the 21st century.” She warned, “If Netanyahu is not stopped, we will all be considered accomplices in crimes against humanity.”

Her statement comes as a direct attack on the silence of European governments regarding the escalating Israel–Gaza war. Belarra reiterated her demand that the Spanish government sever diplomatic ties with Israel, halt arms sales, and bring Netanyahu before an international court.
