Two Women Killed in Shooting at Church Premises

Two women have been confirmed dead following a shooting at a church premises in Kentucky. Two other men were injured in the incident.

The shooting reportedly began after a gunman shot and injured a state trooper during a traffic stop. According to authorities, the suspect fired at the officer and then fled the scene.

He subsequently hijacked a vehicle and drove toward Richmond Road Baptist Church in Lexington, where he opened fire on worshippers. The attacker was later killed in a police operation.

The county coroner’s office has identified the two deceased women as 72-year-old Beverly Gumm and 32-year-old Christina Combs. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
