UAE Government Amnesty to 120 Nepalis

Krisna Kunwar, Dubai : The United Arab Emirates (UAE) government has granted amnesty to 120 Nepali nationals. According to the Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi, the Nepalis were serving sentences in UAE prisons for various offenses.
The amnesty was granted on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, a major festival observed by followers of Islam. The UAE government pardoned the remaining sentences of these individuals as part of the celebration.
“The Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi expresses sincere gratitude and appreciation to the government of the United Arab Emirates for granting amnesty to 120 Nepali citizens by waiving their remaining sentences on the occasion of the significant Islamic festival of Eid al-Adha,” read the official statement issued by the embassy.
