British Actress Emma Watson Banned from Driving for Six Months

British actress Emma Watson, who rose to fame through the Harry Potter film series, has been banned from driving for six months.
Watson was found to have been driving at 38 miles per hour in a 30 mph speed limit zone in the Oxford area on the evening of July 31 last year. During the court hearing, it was revealed that her driving license already had 9 penalty points.
The 35-year-old actress was also fined £1,044 by the High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday. Although Watson did not attend the hearing, her legal representative was present on her behalf.
Emma Watson is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Creative Writing at the University of Oxford. She became a global sensation in 2001 after the release of the first Harry Potter film.
She appeared in all eight films of the Harry Potter series and has since acted in other movies including Beauty and the Beast.
