“July Martyrs’ Day” Observed at the Embassy of Bangladesh in Nepal

The Embassy of Bangladesh in Kathmandu observed “July Martyrs’ Day” today with deep reverence and solemnity. The event was organized as a National Mourning Day.
A special Doa Mahfil (prayer gathering) and a discussion on the significance of the day were held at the embassy premises.
The program was attended by members of the Bangladeshi community in Kathmandu, officials from the SAARC Secretariat, representatives of regional organizations, and members of the Bangladesh Club.
During the event, a documentary titled “July Bishad Sindhu” was screened. Special prayers were also offered for the eternal peace of the martyrs who lost their lives during the July–August people’s movement.
Speakers at the event paid tribute to the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of the martyrs who gave their lives for freedom, equality, justice, and democracy. They emphasized the need for unity to build a new and prosperous Bangladesh inspired by the ideals and spirit of the brave martyrs who fought against fascist and autocratic rule.
The Embassy of Bangladesh stated that it would organize various programs in the coming days to commemorate the heroism and sacrifices of the frontline warriors of the July–August mass movement.
