Suman Bishwakarma, Malaysia:
The 9th convention of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Malaysia was held with grandeur under the chief guest Hari Bhattarai and special guest, founding president Shankar Bahadur Paudel. From the convention, Rakesh Prasad Mahato was elected unopposed as the new president.

In recent times, NRNA Malaysia had become a subject of controversy. However, despite various disputes and obstacles, the 9th convention successfully concluded on July 27.

To make the event vibrant and memorable, renowned Nepali singer and composer Rajan Raj Siwakoti delivered a special musical performance, accompanied by several outstanding acts from local artists.

Notably, the dissatisfied faction of NRNA Malaysia, including former president Binod Thaha and outgoing vice-president Indra Narayan Limbu, were absent from the program. Representatives from the Embassy of Nepal in Malaysia were also not seen at the event.
