Nepalese Athletes Participating in the 10th Asian Para Taekwondo Championship Welcomed by the Nepalese Embassy in Malaysia

Suman Bishwakarma, Malaysia. The Nepalese Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, extended a special welcome and honor to the Nepalese athletes who participated in the 10th Asian Para Taekwondo Championship (G4), held on August 1, 2025, in Kuching city of Sarawak state, Malaysia.

Coordinated by Santosh Bhatt, President of the Nepalese Football Association and Himalayan Academy Malaysia, the athletes visited the embassy where Ambassador Netra Prasad Timilsina warmly welcomed them and praised their remarkable performances.

During the meeting with the athletes, Ambassador Timilsina lauded their hard work, dedication, and confidence. He also expressed his best wishes for their future success, hoping they would continue to make Nepal proud on the international stage.

In this championship, Nepalese athlete Palesha Govardhan won a bronze medal in the women’s 57 kg K-44 category, raising Nepal’s name with pride.

Other participants in the championship included Bharat Singh Mehta, Amir Bhloon, Renu Tamang, Kamana Prasain, coach Kabiraj Negi Lama, National Sports Council member Ram Chandra Shrestha, and Himalayan Academy representative Santosh Bhatt.
