The United States Department of Health and Human Services has decided to halt 22 vaccine development projects targeting various viruses.

According to the international news agency AP, U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has announced the cancellation of grants totaling 500 million dollars allocated for vaccine projects related to respiratory viruses such as COVID-19 and the flu.

Kennedy described vaccines as problematic and emphasized prioritizing new, safer alternatives.

However, health experts have termed this decision extremely dangerous. Renowned vaccine expert Dr. Paul Offit and pandemic specialist Mike Osterholm stated that vaccines have saved millions of lives and will play a crucial role in controlling futur.
