Nepal Invites President of Turkmenistan for a Visit

During his visit to Turkmenistan, Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli extended an invitation to Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedow to visit Nepal.
The invitation was extended during a meeting held on the sidelines of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs), where Prime Minister Oli invited the President for an official visit to Nepal next year.
Speaking briefly to media personnel from both countries after the meeting, Prime Minister Oli said that the discussions focused on strengthening and making the bilateral relations between the two countries more productive through mutual interests, concerns, cooperation, and collaboration.
On the occasion, he also praised Turkmenistan’s rapid development in a short period and informed that Nepal is set to graduate to the status of a developing country by 2026.
Prime Minister Oli thanked President Berdimuhamedow for the grand hosting of the Third United Nations Conference on LLDCs in the city of Awaza. The Prime Minister is also scheduled to hold meetings with other heads of state and government officials today.
According to RSS (Rastriya Samachar Samiti), Prime Minister Oli is leading the Nepali delegation and participating in high-level meetings and various events at the conference, which is held every ten years.
