Rasuwa, Nepal — Sundardhoka Sathi Sewa’s relief team has reached the flood-affected areas of Betrawati and Syabrubesi in Rasuwa and delivered essential relief supplies, including food items and hygiene kits, to families in need. The organisation said the situation in the affected communities remains extremely critical, with many residents still facing serious challenges following the disaster.

The team had planned to conduct medical camps in the affected areas but was unable to do so because of the government’s one-door response system, under which the Nepal Army has taken a leading role in coordinating rescue and relief operations. Despite this, the medical team carried out important assessments of the situation, identified key needs and evaluated the feasibility of providing further medical and humanitarian assistance.

According to Sundardhoka Sathi Sewa, many affected people are currently sheltering in or around jungle areas, where they face additional risks and challenges. The organisation said the difficult conditions in the affected communities have increased the need for immediate rescue, medical assistance and essential relief support.

Although the planned medical camps could not be conducted, the organisation expressed gratitude that its team was able to reach the affected communities and provide immediate assistance to families in need. The team has since begun its return after completing the initial relief and assessment activities.

Sundardhoka Sathi Sewa has appealed for continued prayers and support for the affected communities, its relief team and Nepal as rescue, relief and recovery efforts continue. The organisation emphasised that the situation remains critical and that urgent humanitarian assistance is still required.
