Through social media posts and public statements, several prominent figures have offered prayers for the victims, expressed concern for those still missing and called for support for rescue and relief efforts.

Manisha Koirala: ‘Let Us Pray for Nepal’

Nepali-born Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala has expressed deep sorrow over the devastation caused by the floods and urged people to pray for Nepal.

Speaking at the NDTV World Anviksha Summit in Kathmandu, Koirala described the disaster as heartbreaking and called for solidarity with those affected. She also compared the scale and emotional impact of the disaster with the devastation witnessed during the earthquake.

Sonu Sood Signals Support for Relief Efforts

Actor Sonu Sood has also expressed sorrow over the disaster in Nepal and indicated his willingness to support people affected by the floods. Indian media reports have highlighted his response as an appeal for assistance and solidarity with those in need.

Actor and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar expressed sympathy for people affected by the floods and landslides along the Nepal–Tibet border. Sharing photographs and visuals of the disaster on social media, he described the scenes as deeply distressing and extended his solidarity to everyone affected.

Kangana Ranaut and Sanjay Dutt Express Concern

Actress Kangana Ranaut expressed sorrow over the tragedy and the loss of lives and property in Nepal.

Actor Sanjay Dutt also offered prayers for the victims, saying that he stood with the people of Nepal during the difficult time.

Indian playback singer Udit Narayan, who was born in Nepal, has expressed deep anguish over the scale of destruction caused by the floods.

Mentioning that he has relatives and friends in Nepal, Narayan said the devastation was extremely painful to witness and that it made him feel like crying. He also expressed his desire to contribute to relief efforts.

Sadhguru Makes Emotional Appeal for Rescue Assistance

Spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev made an emotional appeal following reports that members of an Isha Foundation group travelling to Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar had gone missing after the disaster.

He appealed to the Indian and Chinese embassies to facilitate access to the affected areas and assist with search-and-rescue operations for those who remained unaccounted for.

Mansi Parekh and Silambarasan TR Share Concern

Actress Mansi Parekh was travelling towards the Kailash Mansarovar region in China at the time of the disaster. She shared information on social media about her travel plans, noting that she had recently been in the region and was scheduled to reach the affected Kerung area a day after the incident.

Tamil actor Silambarasan TR also described the disaster as heartbreaking and offered prayers for affected families and those still waiting to be rescued.

Internationally acclaimed fashion designer Prabal Gurung, who was born in Nepal, has also expressed concern and solidarity with the people affected by the disaster.
