Abu Dhabi — The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has sent a second relief flight to Nepal carrying 45 tonnes of humanitarian supplies for people affected by the recent floods and landslides across the country.

The relief consignment, provided through the UAE Aid Agency, includes food supplies, essential humanitarian items, electricity generators and other emergency materials. The assistance is intended to support families in areas worst affected by the disasters, where access to basic necessities and essential services has been severely disrupted.

The latest shipment is part of a broader humanitarian assistance package announced by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, under which the UAE pledged US$10 million in aid for flood- and landslide-affected communities in Nepal. The second relief flight has arrived in Nepal as part of the implementation of that commitment.

The UAE had earlier sent its first relief flight carrying 83 tonnes of essential supplies to Nepal. The initial consignment was aimed at providing immediate humanitarian assistance to disaster-affected communities and supporting ongoing relief and rescue operations.
